Book your trip now to the next EPF-conference in Stockholm that will take place in the Nordic summer light days in the beginning of June. The planning has been intensified during the autumn, and soon Resenärsforum expects reply on an application for grants which has been sent to the Swedish Transport Administration.

The theme of the first conference day is intended to address the possibilities and risks of a liberalized public transport market from the passenger’s perspective. Focus will be to analyse shortcomings among the early adopters to avoid further mistakes but also to highlight good examples within ticketing and passenger rights. The second conference day will comprehend the future generation’s demand for public transport. It will both cover urban and long-distance journeys, and the idea is that the second day’s theme should present young people’s experiences of climate-smart and environmentally friendly transport solutions.

The seminars will be mixed with excursions by boat on the waters of Stockholm and we will be offered a trip with the newly extended city tram between the Central station and the park island Djurgården, where the tram depot is situated. We will also be offered a guided tour there. The conference will start on Friday morning the 7th June and the closing dinner will be arranged on Saturday evening the 8th June. The reason to compress the conference program to only two days is to facilitate the travel days for those who would like to travel by train. Thursday the 6th June is also the Swedish national holiday and could be interesting for those who want to take part in traditional celebrations. On Sunday the 9th the UITP Global Public Transport Summit will start, which is also a reason to not plan activities that day.
