EPF’s Annual General Meeting took place in Luxembourg on 5. April.
➡️ MEP Tilly Metz (European Greens) was welcomed as a guest and current topics from European transport policy were discussed with her. The focus was on ticketing issues and the EU’s imminent focus on high-speed transport. The participants agreed with Ms Metz that point-to-point transport cannot be considered in isolation, but that a comprehensive overall system of public transport is required.
➡️ EPF is thrilled to announce the addition of a new member organisation: Berliner Fahrgastverband IGEB. With over four decades of experience, IGEB brings expertise in public transport advocacy, infrastructure planning, and citizen engagement, making it a strong and valuable addition to EPF’s network.
➡️ In the elections to the Management Board, Walter Etty from the Dutch association Rover and Martin Schiefelbusch from the Berlin association IGEB were newly elected to the Board. Both have many years of experience in their associations, Walter has set up a mirror group for cross-border activities in his Rover association. Katharina Krell from the German passenger organisation PRO BAHN and Willy Smeulders from the Belgian TTB were re-elected for a new term of three years. Michel Quidort from the French FNAUT remains President.
➡️ Our 2024 Annual Report was approved by the AGM and published. It highlights EPF’s activities across key areas: policy advocacy, participation in EU-funded projects, and active engagement with our members.
