The month of May brought some changes to our team, as we said farewell to our colleague Evelien, we welcomed our new team member, Katie Bulanowski, to our secretariat.

Effective June 2021, Evelien Marlier has left EPF. She has been instrumental in the development of EPF for almost 5 years. Her commitment and enthusiasm will be missed! With lots of genuine positive energy and a strong mind and vision, Evelien has given EPF a strong impetus for further development and left a clear mark on our organisation. We thank Evelien for her valuable work and wish her the very best in her new challenge!

As good news, Kathryn Bulanowski joined the EPF team in May 2021.  Katie comes from Long Island, New York, USA and has been living in Belgium for almost seven years. Holding a Bachelors in History and a Masters in Cultural Studies, she brings new skills and knowledge to our team. Katie is an experienced project manager, having worked previously in research for Horizon 2020 projects as a Knowledge Engineer and as a Project Manager for international software projects.

She’ll be working as Project Officer, implementing current projects (mostly working in INDIMO and AURORA) and designing future proposals. Additionally, she will be assisting in Communication activities and overall policy work of EPF. Katie is thrilled to join our team!

As an avid traveler myself, I am thrilled to support and promote passenger rights. Working on an international level and doing something “useful for the world” are big motivators for me.

When she is not busy defending passenger rights across Europe, Katie enjoys reading, cooking, painting and swimming. If she has even more time, she loves to travel and experience new places, foods and cultures. Moreover, she is busy learning Dutch and getting to learn the Belgian culture.

Welcome to our team, Katie!

If you wish to contact Katie, you can do it through kathryn.bulanowski@epf.eu, in English or Dutch.
