The GEMINI project will hold its Final Event in Turin on 14 October 2026, bringing together cities, mobility providers, policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and civil society to explore the future of inclusive and sustainable mobility.
The event will showcase how GEMINI has advanced shared mobility services, Mobility as a Commons (MaaC), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), micromobility and public transport integration across its eight Mobility Living Labs. Participants will discover the project’s main results, impact findings, business and policy recommendations, and practical pathways for scaling its solutions beyond the project.
From experimentation to real-world impact
The programme will begin with an overview of the GEMINI journey, from co-creation to validation and uptake. A high-level panel will then bring together policy, market and passenger perspectives to discuss what cities, operators, policymakers and users need to bring innovative mobility services beyond the pilot stage.
The eight Mobility Living Labs will present their experiences through two thematic sessions. The first will focus on shared mobility communities, mobility hubs and access to public transport, featuring Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris-Saclay and Ljubljana. The second will explore MaaS, event mobility, cross-border connections and flexible public transport through the experiences of Turin, Munich, Porto and Helsinki.
Practical tools for cities and mobility stakeholders
Dedicated time for networking has been built into the programme, giving participants the opportunity to connect with other mobility stakeholders and explore GEMINI posters, demonstrations, videos, business model blueprints, policy briefs, data tools and Academy resources.
A dedicated policy and replication session will present recommendations, links with Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, replication conditions, transferability pathways and resources that cities and mobility stakeholders can use to support the uptake of GEMINI solutions.
Experience SmartMove in Turin
The day will conclude with a site visit dedicated to the Turin Mobility Living Lab and a live demonstration of SmartMove by GEMINI by the local partners 5T and Arriva. Participants will see how the solution supports multimodal trip planning, ticketing and payment, public transport integration, shared mobility services, parking and taxi functions.
A shuttle service provided by Arriva will take participants from the event venue to the urban mobility control centre for the demonstration.
