On 30 September, EPF took part in the Passenger Package session at Connecting Europe Days, together with Estelle Nicolay (Railtrip.travel), Juan Montero (European University Institute), Chiara Tomasi (Trainline), Kai Tegethoff (MEP), Marco Andersson (Snälltåget), Jan Ilík (Czech Railways) and Jon Worth (European Rail Passengers Union), to discuss problems – and solutions.
💡 The problem is clear: For passengers, finding, booking and paying for a journey involving multiple transport modes or rail operators can be very difficult – sometimes even impossible. And when things go wrong, passengers too often lack adequate protection. This has to change!
🎯 The solution is within reach: The Passenger Package is an opportunity to address today’s barriers and make a real difference for passengers. Let’s be ambitious and focus on the outcomes we want to achieve – making sustainable journeys across Europe the easy choice, not the exception 🌍
